Smack n Cheese Featured on WISH-TV as a Best New Game for Gen Con 2026
Smack n Cheese, the fast-paced family game from Vango Toys, was recently featured on WISH-TV ahead of Gen Con 2026.
Toy expert Charlene DeLoach showcased Smack n Cheese as one of the best new games to check out around this year's Gen Con in Indianapolis.
We're excited to see Smack n Cheese getting attention—and even more excited for families to discover a matching game that's anything but quiet.
What Is Smack n Cheese?
Smack n Cheese is a fast-paced family matching game where players race to spot a match and smack the noodles before anyone else.
But you're not always looking for the exact same card.
Players have to pay attention to both the food item and its topping. See two identical items? That's a match. See two different items covered in the same topping? That's a match, too.
Spot it first and smack your squishy noodle.
Think fast, look closely, and don't smack unless you're sure. A wrong smack comes with a penalty.
A Matching Game That Gets Everyone Involved
Traditional matching games are often about slowing down, taking turns, and carefully remembering where different cards are located.
Smack n Cheese goes in the opposite direction.
The game combines visual matching with speed and physical action, creating a family game where players have to recognize patterns and react before their opponents.
The squishy noodles add another layer of fun. Instead of simply calling out a match or collecting a card, players physically smack the noodles when they see the right combination.
That makes Smack n Cheese just as entertaining to watch as it is to play.
Look at the Food. Look at the Toppings. Then SMACK!
The dual matching mechanic is what makes Smack n Cheese different from a standard matching game.
Players aren't searching for just one type of connection. They have to quickly process what's happening on the table and recognize whether the cards match by item or topping.
That simple twist keeps players paying attention and creates plenty of moments where two people realize the match at almost exactly the same time.
Then it's a race to the smack.
Made for Family Game Night
Smack n Cheese was designed to be easy to bring to the table and quick to understand, making it a fun choice for kids and families looking for something more active than a traditional card game.
It's a great fit for family game nights, birthday parties, playdates, vacations, and anytime you need a game that can get a group laughing and competing quickly.
Because the core mechanic is visual and easy to understand, new players don't need to sit through a long explanation before getting into the action.
